“Every time she travels, she is subject to an unlawful regulation that burdens her liberty interest by taking away her choice to not wear a mask over her face,” Rep. Beth Van Duyne, R-Irving, asserts in her request for the court to freeze the mandate immediately. State attorney general Ken Paxton filed the lawsuit on behalf of the state of Texas, jointly with Van Duyne, who is represented by the conservative Texas Public Policy Foundation.
