The beloved actor, host and producer, who famously played the historic role of Kunta Kinte in “Roots” will make his guest hosting debut on July 26, a decision that came after more than 250,000 fans signed a petition urging producers to make hire him. Burton will join the ranks of dozens of bold-faced names who have taken on the temporary hosting gig since’s death last year, such as quarterback Aaron Rogers, “Big Bang Theory” star Mayim Balik and CNN’s Anderson Cooper.
