New Brunswick joins a host of New Jersey cities and towns requiring face coverings in stores, gyms, restaurants and other locations where the public convenes.
Face coverings must be worn in government buildings, restaurants, bars, gymnasiums, stores and houses of worship throughout the city in Middlesex County as of 6 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 30.
“We are hopeful this proven and effective measure helps to create a safer environment for patrons and service providers alike and, at the same time, allows businesses and places of public accommodation to remain open and staffed to serve the public and stay in business,” Cahill said in a statement.
