Splashy Asian-Mediterranean restaurant opens with champagne wall and entertainment in Upper Kirby
They’ve tapped Erhan Özkaya as executive chef, who oversaw a two-story kitchen as he developed the Asian-Mediterranean menu.
The menu is divided into two culinary genres: The Asian side leans toward Japanese flavors with hand rolls and other raw fish preparations. For the Mediterranean portion, some of Özkaya’s Turkish influences show up in dishes like baked octopus served with three different potato preparations and a 60-day aged New York strip used for tartare.
Edosomwan and his business partners — including Yuware Eghaghe, Anthony Ifeanyi, Felix Edosomwan, Moussa Haider, Tarek Hassan and Marwan Alyassir — picked Se7en as the name because the number seven is believed to be a lucky number in many cultures.
