Chase Elliott propelled himself into the next round of the NASCAR playoffs with a win in the YellaWood 500 at Talladega Superspeedway on Sunday.
Denny Hamlin, driver of the No. 11 FedEx Express Toyota, Daniel Suarez, driver of the No. 99 Tootsies Orchid Lounge Chevrolet, William Byron, driver of the No. 24 RaptorTough.com Chevrolet, Chase Elliott, driver of the No. 9 NAPA Auto Parts Chevrolet, and Cole Custer, driver of the No. 41 HaasTooling.com Ford, race during the YellaWood 500 at Talladega Superspeedway on Oct. 2, 2022, in Talladega, Alabama.
Elliott also picked up 10 stage points with a Stage 2 victory. He picked up eight stage points after he finished in third place in Stage 1.Elliot clinched a spot in the Round of 8. He won the Cup series title in 2020.
