Despite Houston High School having a brand new facility, water testing done prior to the first day of school showed elevated levels of tetrachloroethylene, a chemical commonly used in dry cleaning and metal degreasing solutions.
“I don’t anticipate releasing names of schools in October like I did last year,” said ASD Superintendent Jharrett Bryantt. “But when I zoom out and look at ten year enrollment trends for ASD we are serving thousands of fewer students.
