If it sounds hard to believe, it probably is, but Eberflus has to continue attempting to push the right buttons and maintain a consistent approach with his players. Perhaps that isn’t the answer you’re seeking, but I’m trying to frame this from his point of view and assess what his goals have to be at this time.
For whatever reason Khalil Herbert doesn’t seem to be quite the same explosive runner he was last year. His production is off and he violated the “T” part of the HITS principle with a fumble against Kansas City. At the same time, Roschon Johnson has shown flashes that he may be an excellent running back on the rise.
