“Summer jobs at the Park District are your perfect job — they’re outdoors, they’re fun. … If you like to be outdoors, if you want to be at the lakefront or pool, working with kids or working with nature, this is a great opportunity,” said Maya Solis, Chicago Park District south region director. It’s also a way for teens to work close to home, Solis said.
“We are located in all the 77 community neighborhoods of Chicago, and we love to place a youth, if there’s an opening, at that particular park that they grew up, at that particular pool,” Solis said. “It’s a way to come back and try to work near your home or in the community that you grew up or a park that you attended.”
