A child has been severely injured and a man arrested after a car chase ended in a standoff with Harris County deputies, Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said.
Emergency responders around 12:50 p.m. were working to take a 2-year-old child via LifeFlight to a hospital, Gonzalez said. And a man has been arrested in connection with the standoff and chase. Deputies earlier received a call about a disturbance on W. FM 1960, Gonzalez said. After arriving at the address, they began chasing after another vehicle that led them across northwest Harris County before coming to a stop near the intersection of Steubner Airline Road and Veterans Memorial Drive.This is a developing story.
