State lawmakers are set to vote on the move as part of a new state budget.

Add your email below and hit"subscribe"Currently, households making $80,000 or less qualify for credits of between $100 to $500 per each child 5 and under. Those making $30,000 or less get the maximum credit of $500. Those making between $60,000 and $80,000 receive the smallest credit of $100.
The full state Legislature is expected to pass the measure Friday, and Murphy is expected to sign it into law some time after that.
