In a viral video, the CNN host says that calling an Italian man by the Godfather character’s name is akin to a slur
confronting a man who called him “Fredo”—as in, the cowardly Corleone son Cazale played in—went viral. In his profane rant Cuomo says that using the term is akin to using the n-word—a claim that has opened the portal to Twitter’s most hellish dimension yet, with both“Punk-ass bitches from the right call me Fredo,” Cuomo says in the video. “My name is Chris Cuomo. I’m an anchor on CNN. Fredo is fromHe was a weak brother. And they’re using it as an Italian aspersion.
The viral video doesn’t end there, though. Cuomo also physically threatens the man in front of him, saying he’ll “fucking ruin [his] shit” and “fucking throw [him] down these stairs like a fuckin’ punk.” In a subsequentsaid, “Chris Cuomo defended himself when he was verbally attacked with the use of an ethnic slur in an orchestrated setup. We completely support him.”
This is not the first time poor Fredo has been flung into recent political discourse.
