Chris Paul Earns Extra $10M In Trade To Wizards, Ineligible To Re-Sign With Suns - RealGM Wiretap
Chris Paul will earn approximately $10 million in extra salary with the Phoenix Suns using his contract to trade to the Washington Wizards for Bradley Beal.
The Suns were planning on waiving Paul if they were unable to trade him, which would have resulted in just $15.8 million of his salary being guaranteed. Paul will now receive $25.04 million in salary assuming the Wizards waive him by June 28th.Paul is expected to receive interest from the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers, amongst others.
