PolySeSouvient disinviting Justin Trudeau from Montreal Massacre memorials hits him where it hurts
Perhaps it helped that Campbell didn’t promise anything she couldn’t deliver. Perhaps it also helped that Campbell and many of her fellow Tories seemed to really believe in more gun control as a lifesaver, and not just as a political gambit.Canada’s modern Conservatives certainly aren’t anti-gun control.
Seventeen years later, they have failed to deliver to the satisfaction of gun-control advocates like PolySeSouvient, who do know a thing or two about guns. Those advocates certainly know what guns they want banned, and they know the Liberals promised to do that and then reneged. And when accused of “betrayal” this week, what did they do?
Marco Mendicino, the most useless public safety minister since his useless predecessor Bill Blair, tried to play gun-control advocates off each other, noting that Canadian Doctors for Protection from Guns and the Coalition for Gun Control both support the new proposed amendments.
