But before the contract was signed and Singh alerted her millions and millions of followers to her good fortune, THR has an interesting tidbit in a new profile about her — specifically, that Singh wasn’t the network’s first choice to host the show. Nope, sorry. It was actually model, feisty cookbook author, and social-media prodigy Chrissy Teigen, who had “already passed” on the late-night offer before executives went to Singh.
