Delaying some surgeries has been deemed necessary because COVID patients have taken up a high number of hospital beds during the recent surge, the Clinic says.

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland Clinic announced Tuesday that all non-urgent outpatient/ambulatory surgeries at its hospitals in Ohio will be postponed beginning Monday, Jan. 3 through Friday, Jan. 14 of next year as high numbers of patients with COVID-19 continue to be hospitalized.
This decision does not include the Clinic’s ambulatory surgery centers or its ambulatory endoscopy centers, the Clinic stated in a news release. Note to readers: if you purchase something through one of our affiliate links we may earn a commission.
