When Business Insider spoke to three climate scientists about their retirement plans, it quickly became clear where they wouldn't invest: waterfront property. They said they probably wouldn't buy waterfront property, and cite future sea level rise as a big part of that choice. That's not to say they're against waterfront property for short-term enjoyment; but they wouldn't buy it as an investment, or as an asset to pass down through generations.
