A trailer for an upcoming horror film called The Lake gives a first look at Jordu Schell’s new giant monster design. The Lake comes from director Lee Thongkham and revolves around a giant monster searching for her egg after a young girl finds it and brings the creature’s egg back to her town. The Lake stars Aom Sushar Manaying, a well-known actress in Thailand, and Vithaya Pansringarm, who has appeared in American films such as The Meg, Mechanic: Resurrection, and Only God Forgives.
Predator: Requiem, and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. While Neville Page collaborated with J.J. Abrams to design Clover in Cloverfield, Schell worked on the film as the lead animatronics effects painter. The Lake may not be widely available to US audiences, but the horror film will no doubt benefit from having Schell working on the creature design.
