Artist Lars Hawkes’ whimsical-shaped sculptures reappear on Friday to their site at the Sherman Way off-ramp at the 170 Freeway after restoration work.

The three-piece sculpture by Lars Hawkes, installed in 1992, along the 170 Freeway in North Hollywood was reinstalled on Friday, February 5, 2021 after being refurbished and repainted by local artist Scott Froschauer with the help from the volunteer group AT&T Pioneers and Caltrans. Hawkes’ painted metal sculptures were originally installed in August 1992 at the site.
