With the No. 4 pick, the Colts are likely drafting a quarterback, but NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah says they need to trade up to get one they want.

The NFL Scouting Combine is coming to Indianapolis next week, and it will represent the first time the Colts will get a chance to watch the top quarterbacks in the draft throw up close, answer their questions and draw on their whiteboards.

"They've been on this veteran carousel for so long. They've got to get off of it," NFL Network draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah said on a conference call Friday."So if you have conviction of who that guy is, I think where there position is as an organization, I think it makes sense for them to be maybe more aggressive than Houston would be .

Teams will have to decide how much his size matters, as he's hoping to measure 6 feet tall and at least 200 pounds at next week's event. It's the one big knock on him and could lead some to prefer Ohio State's C.J. Stroud, who is listed at 6-foot-3 and 218 pounds and had his own prolific career with a 22-4 record, 85 touchdowns, 12 interceptions and 9.8 yards per attempt.

It's possible the Colts love both quarterbacks and could be happy with either one, but they could both go in the three picks ahead of them. The Texans are almost certainly taking a quarterback, and the Bears at No. 1 and the Cardinals at No. 3 are both trade-up options for teams looking to leapfrog the Colts.

At a listed 6-4 and 232 pounds, Richardson flashed the best arm and frame at times in his one season starting at Florida, but he is light on experience and also completed less than 54% of his passes with just 17 touchdowns.
