Columbus police officer shoots man while responding to report of people with guns on East Side
A Columbus police officer shot and injured a male individual Tuesday afternoon while responding to a report of people with guns at a gas station on the city's East Side.
The suspects fled the scene when police arrived, leading to a foot chase east on East Livingston Avenue, Yates said. Initial police reports were that the person who was shot was an adult male, but Albert only said the person was a male and could not say whether the person was an adult or a teenager.A gun was found at the scene where the male suspect was shot, police said.
