Sigmund Stern Grove’s Concert Meadow in San Francisco will reopen in time for the 85th annual Stern Grove Festival concert series that starts next month after closing last August because of a water main break that flooded the site. Read more:
The festival was cut short last year due to flooding.
The San Francisco Recreation and Park Department and San Francisco Public Utilities Commission announced the planned reopening as crews near completion of repairs to the Concert Meadow near 19th Avenue and Sloat Boulevard in the Sunset District before the concert series starts June 12. Additional repair work in other areas of Stern Grove, such as the hillside and tennis court, will continue through summer 2023, according to the city.
