Disgust doesn't come close to describing what I'm feeling about our Congress right now. While the US is shut down, boarded up, and sheltering in place in an all-out effort to defeat the coronavirus and protect our most vulnerable fellow citizens from this gruesome disease, Congress is going about business as usual, just with more hand sanitizer.

Mark CoralloSeriously, $25 million for the Kennedy Center? $75 million for the National Endowment for the Arts?I understand that hundreds of people were laid off from cultural institutions, but many small businesses had to lay off employees too. Former President Jimmy Carter has asked that donations meant for the Carter Center be given to local groups that are fighting on the front lines of the pandemic instead. Then there's the issue of big businesses getting bailouts.
