A little from column A, a little from column B.

Twenty bucks says they skip over the parts they don't like.Republicans won a narrow, very narrow, majority in the house during the midterms. One of the first proclamations from leadership was that the new majority would open the next Congress by reading aloud the Constitution from the house floor. It’s an odd bit of political theater from a party whose de facto leader thinks the Constitution should be scrapped so he can be the boss again.

The far-right factions of the Republican party and their “establishment” enablers don’t really want to terminate the Constitution. Rather, they’d like to move to an a la carte system allowing them to pick and choose the amendments that fit the ideology of the day. Second Amendment? Yes, Please! 14th Amendment? Hard pass. Separation of church and state, yuck. Freedom of speech, uh, maybe. Depends on who’s doing the talking.
