A contractor who works at the Shell Deer Park chemical facility sued the company Tuesday, claiming to have suffered 'serious injuries' as a result of the fire that erupted there last week.
Multiple agencies responded to the fire at Shell Chemical's Deer Park plan in the 5900 block of Texas 225. The lawsuit accuses Shell of gross negligence and seeks more than $1 million in damages, citing pain and ongoing mental anguish. The law firm has represented workers injured in other industrial fires and explosions, according to the release.
