New York City has begun to see a dip in new hospitalizations and patients in the ICU for the coronavirus

There are now at least 104,410 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the city and 6,182 people have died, according to the mayor.

On Monday, the city announced a new $10 million ad campaign targeting black and Latino neighborhoods that have been hardest hit by the virus. Hispanic New Yorkersthe highest death rates from the disease, and black and Latino residents are dying at roughly twice the rate of white people. “The last few weeks have been day to day, hour to hour, making sure we had the ventilators, the supplies, the doctors, the nurses, the healthcare workers where we needed them when we needed them in a crisis,” de Blasio said when asked why he had not acted sooner on education efforts. “That was how we could make sure to save the lives that could be saved.”
