'It felt like a dream!' If you're looking for a love story, look no further than this couple who got married after battling leukemia together for over 15 years.
After both Daugherty and Settle battled leukemia for over 15 years, the couple got married in May 2019.
"Nobody can relate to that unless you experience late effects from chemo, especially when you're going through chemo as a toddler." It wasn't until they both attended Florida State University that their friendship grew into a relationship."It was always natural to laugh and enjoy time with her," Daugherty added.
"To see them now as adults [and as a] married couple is just so humbling and so awesome," Hajjar said.The couple still sees Hajjar for appointments to monitor their health.
