Cowboys can’t afford to let COVID-19 ruin their chance to make this season special
Tight end Dalton Schultz on New Year’s Eve message between teammates: ‘Don’t go out and do stupid [stuff].’
The Cowboys became NFC East champions on Sunday afternoon. Then, in a 56-14 evening throttling of Washington, they flexed on primetime the caliber of football they are capable of playing when their offense, defense and special teams execute simultaneously. The team is one game back of the NFC’s No. 1 seed, which comes with a first-round bye.
“Just being safe. Make smart decisions. Don’t go out and do stupid [stuff]. Don’t expose yourself to unnecessary risks, whether that be COVID or anything else that comes with New Year’s Eve. We’ve got the right guys in the locker room to take that to heart.”
