rookie defensive end Sam Williams suffered a concussion and neck strain in a Plano car crash Thursday afternoon, sidelining him for Saturday’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles, the team announced Friday.
Williams was driving southbound Thursday on Preston Road when a northbound vehicle turned west in front of him toward Towne Square Drive. The vehicles collided, resulting in extensive debris that forced a partial shutdown on Preston Road until about 4:50 p.m., a Plano police spokesperson said Thursday.

Both parties were transported to a local hospital for precautionary reasons, but no serious injuries have been reported."
