Utah Gov. Spencer Cox says he's a 'little more optimistic' that all of the Colorado River states can come to an agreement on a plan to reduce water use.

. That could include as much as $200 million more toward the Utah Department of Agriculture and Food's Water Optimization Program.

Utah Gov. Spencer Cox holds his monthly news conference at PBS Utah in the Eccles Broadcast Center in Salt Lake City on Thursday. Cox answered questions about various water topics during the event. "What we also know is that you can grow it with better technology that uses much less water," he said. "We do know that farmers are going to make the biggest impact in getting water into our reservoirs and into theSpeaking of the Great Salt Lake, Cox added that he believes Utah is close to having the "structure" needed to get water back into the lake.
