Maryland State Police say six highway workers were pronounced dead at the scene after the crash occurred at about 12:40 p.m. Wednesday on Interstate 695, also known as the Baltimore Beltway.
WOODLAWN, Maryland — Six highway workers were killed Tuesday when a car plowed into a work zone after it was involved in a crash with another vehicle, police say.
Police say an Acura was traveling lane two of the interstate when the driver attempted to move into lane one. The Acura police believe the Acura struck the front corner panel on the passenger side of a Volkswagen that was stopped because it was disabled, police say.
