The funding from an infrastructure law signed by President Biden last year is being put to work here in Ohio with $33-million going toward plugging, remediating and reclaiming orphaned oil and gas wells on public lands.

CUYAHOGA COUNTY, Ohio — Scattered throughout 33,000 acres of land, at the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, are more than 88 gas and oil wells.

Dickerson says the wells were drilled decades ago dating back to the early 30’s.
