Not only that, but given what’s been revealed about this particular ability, anyone with an ‘outer shell’ power should be very wary of Cable.
Close When Grey Gargoyle tries to turn Cable into stone, Cable uses his telekinetic control over the techno-organic virus that’s constantly threatening to ravage his body, and spreads it all over Grey Gargoyle. The virus clings to the villain’s stone exterior and eats it away before dissipating, thereby exposing his flesh almost instantly without permanently infecting him with the virus.
The moment Cable forces Colossus to revert to his human form, the prominent X-Men member would be utterly vulnerable to attack, and it seems like he’d stay that way for at least a few moments. Grey Gargoyle wasn’t able to ‘power-up’ right away after Cable unleashed the virus upon him, and even if Colossus’ abilities were better than that of this C-List villain, a mere moment is all someone as skilled as Cable would need to put him down for good.
