The lawsuit, which names Deputy Francisco Castillo and the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office as defendants, says that on March 2, 2021, Castillo pulled over the plaintiff, Torry Osby. During the stop, the suit says, Castillo revealed the personal information on Osby’s driver’s license. “Imagine an officer pulling over a driver on a traffic stop, and then loudly proclaiming to people walking down the sidewalk who the driver is, when he was born, where he lives, and his driver license number,” the complaint reads. “This shocking invasion of privacy is essentially what occurred in this case, only to over a hundred people on the internet.”
The complaint includes several still image of the stream and claims that at the time they were taken, Castillo had more than 13,000 followers on TikTok and marketed his account as a law enforcement officer’s account.
