Jenkins made the comment while speaking at Hamilton Park United Methodist Church on Sunday, where he discussed the importance of voting and“It hasn’t always been in emergencies that everything we try to do to keep you safe, we have a governor trying to mess it up,” Jenkins said. “I don’t even have this governor’s phone number. He doesn’t answer his emails. I haven’t talked to him in two years.”
“I want to say thank you for being here,” Johnson told Abbott during the press conference. “You know, it’s one thing to send your well wishes. It’s another thing to physically be present. I’ve learned that, as mayor, being there is important and I appreciate you always being willing to show up for us at times like this one.”on Monday, Jenkins contrasted the relationship he has with Abbott and the one he had with former Gov.
