. You’ve mentioned that ticket sales in the last few months are approaching pre-pandemic levels, and that they have generally been selling late and close to concert performances.

I am happy and relieved to see our attendance rebound. It is stressful for sales to be so last minute, but we are getting used [to it]. We have been very successful at attracting new attendees, but now we need to convince them to come multiple times per year. It is pretty challenging to buck the declining interest in subscriptions , but of course, we will offer great benefits and service, in addition to the fantastic music.4.

The orchestra’s demographics, though, remain mainly white. How has the DSO tried to attract and hire diverse orchestral candidates? Can you share updates on the process?
