The soap opera “Days of our Lives” is getting its own spinoff. NBCUniversal's streaming service, Peacock, says it has ordered five episodes of “Days of our Lives: Beyond Salem.” The series will feature both past and present characters of the soap.

As its name suggests, “Beyond Salem” will take place away from the fictional town of Salem, Illinois, and follow characters traveling for a long weekend, visiting Zurich, New Orleans, Phoenix or Miami as they’re caught up in a case of stolen jewels. This is where Rinna’s character, Billie, comes in as she’s an International Security Alliance agent who will be on the case.This story corrects the spelling of Deidre Hall, not Deirdre.
