The most important change we can make this year is putting ourselves first and saying yes to what will make us happy -- without the mom guilt.
to be happier, healthier, and better versions of ourselves, it is time to embrace the word “Yes.” Or, to put it another way, it is time to kickto the curb and recognize that saying"no" isn’t always helpful. Instead, when moms say"no" to the things that give us true happiness, we are missing out on things that aren’t just worth our time but also are necessary to our emotional and mental wellness.
And yes, it can definitely feel like one more chore to whittle out time for ourselves. But once it happens, it can feel magical. Rejuvenating oneself by saying"yes" to the mom friend who reached out about grabbing coffee, finally going to that crazy expensive spa you've been fantasizing about, or just having a warm cup of tea on the front porch can do wonders toward lowering stress. If you can kill that mom guilt long enough to let you do it.
