Montgomery police are conducting a death investigation after a man’s body was found Friday afternoon.

Montgomery police and fire medics responded around 1:15 p.m. Friday to the 2200 block of East Sixth Street on a report of a found body, said Maj. Saba Coleman.The person of interest ultimately surrendered and was detained “without incident,” Coleman said.The circumstances of the man’s death remained under investigation as of Friday afternoon.
