Demon Slayer is taking no prisoners with its Entertainment District Arc
The only real breather we get in this episode is an aside where the Flame Hashira’s father writes to Tanjiro apologizing for his behavior, and talks about his sons. I’m not entirely sure how that’s connected to current events, but it was nice to see all the same.
But, back to the fighting, despite Tanjiro putting up an incredible performance, eventually he goes way, way too far with Sun Breathing, literally burning out, unable to move or stop coughing because of all the stamina he expended. No amount of recovery breathing is going to help him. Who does help him? That would be Nezuko, his sister, who leaves her tiny box and goes after Daki with her signature kicks. Turns out Nezuko is on Muzan’s most wanted list as an “escaped” demon out of his control that he wants destroyed, so Daki is almost happy to see her.Daki underestimates Nezuko’s strength, and is shocked to see her recover after losing limbs and actually being fully cut in half by her razor belts.
