The Denver metro area will be under a Winter Weather Advisory Thursday through 9 a.m. Friday.
Today will be the warmest day of the week with a high of 39 degrees, the National Weather Service in Boulder reports. Cloudy skies will clear for the sun in the afternoon. The low will drop to 20 tonight as chances for precipitation and snow increase overnight.starting in the high country tonight where winds will gust up to 30 mph as the cold front moves in.
Snow is likely on Thursday mainly after 8 a.m. according to the NWS. The high will remain below freezing, at 28 degrees, One inch of new snow accumulation is expected during the day, with as much as 3 more inches expected Thursday night.Thursday through 9 a.m. Friday. The NWS expects many roads to be snow packed and icy.
