Deciding on how much power your next iMac will have is easy, but there's more to choose from in 2022.
, launched last year with the Apple Silicon powered M1 chipset. Those iMacs are offered in a range of seven pastel colours, with shades reminiscent of the crystal colours of the iMac G3.the return of color to the iMac range that started last year is going to continue.
Notably last year the entry-level iMac was had a limited palette, with only blue, green, and pink offered as alternatives to silver. For the full spectrum you needed to step up rung in the portfolio. It would not surprise me to see the same again - with the run of the mill base 27-inch iMac in silver, and the additional artistic touches only available at higher specs.
Given the performance advantage even the entry level M1 offers, the presumed move up to the M1 Pro and M1 Max for the larger iMacs should offer a desktop with unrivalled performance at this price point - assuming macOS and Apple’s proprietary cloud services suit your way of working.
