Disney CEO Bob Iger accused Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and other state lawmakers of retaliating against the company following political remarks made last year.
Iger said Disney has been forced to file a lawsuit in federal court to protect its business interests.
Florida lawmakers targeted Disney after it publicly clashed with Gov. Ron DeSantis over a law restricting discussion of LGBTQ+ issues in classrooms. Iger brought up the point that other special districts have been established in the state, including the Daytona Speedway and the Villages retirement community.
