Despite Doctor Who season 14 still being in the midst of filming for a 2024 release, season 15 is seemingly already in development under current showrunner Russell T Davies. The long-running sci-fi series will air season 14 in 2024, with Ncuti Gatwa taking on the role of the Fifteenth incarnation of the leading Time Lord. Gatwa is currently taking part in the filming of the upcoming season alongside new companion star Millie Gibson.

Davies stated four season 15 episode scripts were in development, with the showrunner giving a tentative airdate of 2025. Read his response below:
"And there isn't time to pause, as we leap on to the 2025 season. Right now, four scripts are being written simultaneously, including this one, right here in front of me, which you won't see until the year after next."
