He has a league-best 715 yards passing with a 102.9 rating entering Miami’s home opener. Tagovailoa was especially good at home last year, with eight TDs, three interceptions and a 103.4 passer rating in six home starts.
KEY INJURIES: Star safety Justin Simmons missed Wednesday’s practice with an injured hip. He missed most of training camp with a groin injury. Simmons appeared to be walking around without any discomfort in the locker room. Simmons’ six interceptions tied for the league lead last year despite missing a month with a thigh injury he suffered in the 2022 opener. ...
