President Joe Biden and Donald Trump have both issued their statements commentating the July 4 celebrations.In a simple post on Instagram, Biden said: 'Happy Independence Day, America! May God bless you all. And may God protect our troops.'In comparison, Trump released a video on Truth Social featuring an edited version of a speech he gave at South Dakota's Mount Rushmore on July 4, 2020, vowing that the monument will never be 'desecrated.
'My fellow Americans, it is time to speak up loudly and strongly and powerfully and defend the integrity of our country.'We will proclaim the ideals of the Declaration of Independence... America's future is in our hands. And ladies and gentlemen, the best is yet to come.'The clip features a fireworks display which occurred during the July 4 celebrations at Mount Rushmore in 2020.
