So Donald Trump doesn’t know America isn’t negotiating with individual European nations on trade. What a surprise. He was probably too busy admiring his shiny new Mexican financed wall to learn anything about that. Or noticing that under Trump America’s trade deficit is hitting new highs. Along with American budgetary deficits.There’s a snub to Varadkar evident in this report.
US trade defecit increased because GDP and the country are growing, the new NAFTA isn’t in place yet, and negotiations with China are not complete. NAFTA 2 is a win-win for all three countries. Higher wages are good for Mexico. Higher nafta content requirements help all three, at the expense of Japan and Germany.
We also have hormone free, nonGMO, unchlorinated food in the US and im sure accommodations can be made. Whatever gets agreed, the UK should benefit if they escape the protectionist EU. It doesn’t matter if the food comes from Brazil, Argentina, Canada, Aussies, or the US- food costs less if you get it worldwide.
