Downtown Dallas' landmark DalPark garage on Commerce Street is getting a makeover.
The DalPark garage on Commerce Street in downtown Dallas is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.The project is described as “exterior and interior restoration of historic parking garage,” according to filings with the Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation.Dallas architect Architexas is designing the facelift.
The firm is recognized as one of Texas’ most accomplished preservationist architects.in the West End and the Cathedral Santuario de Guadalupe on Ross Avenue.designed a high-rise hotel to be built on the same block – a project commissioned by East Texas oilman Lacy. But the striking hotel design never made it off the drawing boards.
