There was a moment in Dragon Ball GT when a new Super Saiyan could have been added while honoring the form's DBZ origin, but that moment was missed.
While new Super Saiyan transformations have become a dime-a-dozen throughout Dragon Ball canon, there haven’t been many new Super Saiyans themselves added to the core Z-Fighters group in some time–though that hasn’t been from a lack of opportunity, as Dragon Ball actually missed the perfect chance to introduce an all-new Super Saiyan in a way that would have perfectly honored the series’ first.
