The Warriors will host the Celtics Saturday in what will be their first meeting since the 2022 NBA Finals.
SAN FRANCISCO — Draymond Green remembers the disappointment and agonizing pain he felt when the Warriors lost their first NBA Finals of this era back in 2016.
“It was motivation,” Green said Friday after practice. “Understanding the things that went wrong to put us in that position and try not to make those mistakes twice, it was so much added fuel.” That hasn’t been the case this season for the Boston Celtics, who come into town Saturday to play the Warriors in a 2022 NBA Finals rematch with the league’s best record.
“They look incredible,” Green said Friday after practice. “They’re playing well, they’re playing together.”
