It's another high upside signing for Howie Roseman and crew.
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Deon Cain drags a Cleveland Browns defender after making a catch during the first half of an NFL preseason football game in Cleveland, Sunday, Aug. 21, 2022. No matter how this season turns out, the one thing folks won’t be able to say is that Howie Roseman and the Philadelphia Eagles didn’t make some pretty, darned interesting moves.
From scooping Jalen Carter and Nolan Smith in the first round of April’s draft, to the D’Andre Swift trade and even some of the undrafted rookie free agent signings, Roseman and crew seem to have made one high-upside move after another. The continued Tuesday as the team reportedly brought former Clemson receiver and USFL title game MVP Deon Cain back into the fold. The 6-foot-2, 202-pound pass catcher spent time on Philly’s practice squad last season, and has also spent time with the Ravens, Colts and Steelers.
